Soul Journey’s Yoga Class

Soul Journey’s Yoga is a specialized holistic approach that integrates both Kundalini yoga principles and Ancient Chinese Philosophies.  This practice meets you where you are mentally, emotionally, and physically, focusing on wellness factors such as meridians, which are energy channels that carry vital energy (qi), and the vayus, which represent the five energetic winds governing the movement of prana in the body.

Techniques Used In Our Journey

Postures (Asanas): Physical poses that target specific meridians to promote alignment, flexibility, and pain reduction, while enhancing the flow of qi and prana. Examples include:

  • Rock Pose (Vajrasana): Stretches quadriceps and hip flexors,modaliti stimulating kidney, bladder, and spleen meridians.

  • Child’s Pose (Balasana): Balances the Governing Vessel Meridian, providing a gentle spine stretch and calming the nervous system.

  • Arm Circles (Gheranda Asana): Stimulates and balances heart, lung, and pericardium meridians.

Breathwork and Meditation: Focuses on intentional breath control and mindfulness to enhance mental clarity and emotional balance, with accessible guided practices for all levels.

Relaxation Techniques: Includes guided relaxation, pranayama, and savasana to relieve tension and restore energy.

Therapeutic Outcomes

  • Enhances Overall Well-Being: Promotes physical and emotional balance, flexibility, strength, and relaxation.

  • Facilitates Energy Flow: Unblocks energy pathways, alleviating physical discomfort and emotional tension.

  • Supports Mental Clarity: Reduces stress and aids in managing anxiety, depression, chronic pain, and sleep disturbances.

The 4 M's of Alignment in Kundalini Yoga 

Mudra

Hand gestures or positions that influence energy flow and reflexes to the brain. Each mudra has a specific purpose and can enhance concentration, focus, and overall energy balance.

Mantra

​Repetitive sounds or phrases chanted to harness the power of vibration and sound. Mantras help to quiet the mind, align your frequency with higher states of consciousness, and manifest intentions.

Meditation

Practices designed to calm the mind and connect you with your higher self. Meditation in yoga can involve breathwork, visualization, or focused attention, helping to cultivate inner peace, clarity, and awareness.

Movement

Movement tailored to your unique physical and mental needs. This can range from, simple movements that align with your abilities to more vigorous activities that challenge and strengthen your body. The focus is on listening to your body.

Breathwork and Meditation

Breathwork is designed to shift your physical and emotional state to a more relaxed and intuitive state of being simply by using the breath in different ways. I will teach you techniques that you can do anywhere—whether in your car, office, living room, or any other space—to achieve the desired effect you are seeking. Your breath-- the vehicle that carries your prana or your life force.

If your goal is to reduce anxiety, techniques such as segmented breaths, alternate nasal breathing, or simply deep breathing may be most beneficial. Everyone has different needs because we all have different experiences and bodies. I will meet you at your comfort level and guide you from there. This breathwork modality is often combined with meditation and serves as the beginning of healing the mind, body, and spirit.

Meditation

We have all either been taught or have witnessed someone practicing meditation. Some people enjoy reaching a calm, meditative state while running outdoors, while others prefer simply sitting in quiet. The meditation combined with Kundalini Yoga is one of intention. The meditations I teach are intentional and personalized to address specific emotional and mental states of being.

For example, if a student feels very sad or angry, there is a Kundalini Kriya and meditation designed to support and help shift that energy into a more peaceful state. When meditation is combined with breathwork, it creates harmony by equalizing and balancing oxygen levels in a specific way to achieve the desired effect. This integration helps to bring about a state of balance and tranquility, enhancing both physical and emotional well-being.

 

The goal of meditation is to quiet the "monkey mind," allowing the mind and soul to connect and facilitating a profound sense of inner peace and clarity.

Spiritual Response Therapy

Spiritual Response Therapy (SRT) is a healing technique designed to clear blocks, interferences, and limiting beliefs that create life challenges. By working with Spirit and the Higher Self, SRT uses energy to uncover and release negative influences affecting one's life. SRT uses healing charts and a pendulum to guide the process, with energy flow and transformation directed by Spirit and the Higher Self.

Key Aspects of Spiritual Response Therapy

Energy Clearing

SRT identifies and clears negative energy that may be affecting your current life. This can help alleviate feelings of dread or discomfort that are hard to pinpoint.

Block Removal

The therapy removes blocks and interferences that hinder your progress and well-being, promoting a smoother flow of energy and personal growth.

Program and Belief Transformation

SRT addresses and transforms limiting programs and beliefs that restrict your potential, helping you live your fullest life.

Guidance from Spirit and High Self

The technique involves communicating with your Soul, including Spirit and your High Self, to gain insights and guidance on resolving issues.

Researching Past Lives

SRT includes researching past lives to release energy that may be blocking you in this life. This process helps uncover and clear karmic imprints and unresolved issues affecting your present experiences.

Enhanced Awareness

By bringing hidden negative energy to light, SRT helps you gain awareness of underlying issues, enabling you to understand and address them effectively.

Sense of Lightness

Clients often report feeling a sense of lightness and relief after a clearing, as the process stimulates their inner wisdom and allows for a greater flow of positive energy.
